This Privacy Policy explains what information the Fun My Drive mobile app and this website collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Fun My Drive is provided by Gummy Bear Apps & Games Inc. (“we”, “us” or “our”).

The short version

• We use your location and the places you enter to plan your road trip and find stops along your route.
• Your saved trips stay on your phone.
• We use a few trusted services to run the app, understand how it's used, fix crashes and handle subscriptions.
• We only use your advertising identifier if you allow tracking.
• We don't sell your personal information.

Information we collect

Location

If you allow it, the app uses your device's location to start a trip from where you are and to follow along while you drive in drive mode. If you choose “Always”, the app can keep guiding you to your stops while your screen is off. You can change this at any time in your iPhone's Settings.

Trips you plan

When you plan a trip, the app sends your starting point, destination, any extra stops and your trip preferences (such as how long you're happy to detour and the kinds of stops you like) to our server, which finds the route and the stops along it. The trips you save are stored on your device.

Usage and crash information

We collect information about how the app is used (for example, which screens are opened and which features are used), your device type, operating system and app version, and reports when the app crashes. This helps us improve the app and fix problems.

Advertising identifier

If you allow tracking when your iPhone asks, we use your device's advertising identifier to attribute app installs and measure how our advertising campaigns perform. If you don't allow it, we don't access it. You can change this in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Purchases

Subscriptions are bought and paid for through the App Store. We receive information about your purchase, such as the plan and its status, so we can unlock the features you paid for. We never see your payment card details.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we receive a device token so we can send them to you. You can turn notifications off in your iPhone's Settings.

Photos

The app only adds images to your photo library when you choose to save a trip card. It doesn't read your photos.

Information our servers receive

Like most online services, our servers receive your IP address with each request. We use it to keep the service reliable and fair, for example to limit how many requests one connection can make. Daily usage counts are stored under a scrambled (hashed) form of the IP address rather than the address itself.

How we use information

• To plan your trips and find stops along your route.
• To run, maintain and improve the app and fix crashes and bugs.
• To manage subscriptions and restore purchases.
• To measure our advertising, only if you allow tracking.
• To send notifications you've agreed to receive.
• To prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
• To answer your questions and requests.

Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run Fun My Drive, and only as needed for the work they do for us:

• Google Firebase: app analytics, crash and error reports, notifications and app settings.
• Adjust: install attribution and ad measurement, using your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking.
• RevenueCat: managing subscription status.
• Apple: payments through the App Store, and maps and directions on your device.
• Amazon Web Services: hosting our servers and this website.
• Anthropic: an AI service our server uses to choose stops and write their descriptions. It receives information about the places on your trip, not your name or contact details.
• Geoapify: calculating driving routes when directions aren't available on your device. It receives the points along your trip.

Our server also looks up places in public sources such as OpenStreetMap, Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikivoyage, Wikimedia Commons and Overture Maps. These lookups are about places, not about you.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and others.

How long we keep information

Saved trips stay on your device until you delete them or the app. Daily usage counts are reset every day. Server logs are kept for a limited time to keep the service running and secure. Information about places (not about you) is kept so later trips are faster.

Your choices and rights

• Turn location, tracking and notifications on or off at any time in your iPhone's Settings.
• Delete saved trips in the app, or delete the app to remove everything stored on your device.
• Ask us to access, correct or delete information about you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.

Children

Fun My Drive isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that a child has given us personal information, we'll delete it.

Security and international transfers

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, such as encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date above. Please also read our Terms of Use.
